Diabetes Wellness News

The Diabetes Wellness News is the newsletter of the Diabetes Wellness Network. Sent each month to members of the Network and diabetes, and related health, professionals across the country, the newsletter contains news of recent advancements in treatment, personal stories and practical advice on all aspects of life with diabetes. The aim is to help improve understanding of diabetes and its associated complications and to provide the tools to enable good self-management through a supportive, like-minded community.

We welcome contributions from professionals in diabetes and related healthcare and people living with diabetes. The Diabetes Wellness News regularly includes articles which focus on less well-recognised aspects of diabetes management, such as the psychological side of living with diabetes and the benefits of exercise forms, such as yoga, pilates and Tai Chi. We appreciate that some people are less mobile than others and therefore also carry articles on alternative exercise methods.

It is very important to us to ensure that the information we provide is as relevant, usable and accessible as possible to our beneficiaries and encourage the submission of articles and participation in the lay review process of the publication, to this end.

Diabetes Wellness News will also keep you abreast of the latest research advancements from around the world, relevant national developments within the NHS and pharmaceutical industry and our own programmes, campaigns and events. We want people with diabetes to be well-informed and aware of the latest thinking and treatments, as well as conscious of the tireless research work that continues around the world.

We are able to provide the newsletter in large print and audio format on request.

Health professionals working in the field of diabetes are entitled to receive a complimentary copy of the Diabetes Wellness News each month and should contact our office to register their details by calling 023 9263 6136 or email enquiries@drwf.org.uk quoting WEB HCP
